We strive to provide an education that meets the needs of all students. We will provide varied opportunities to students so they may be able to discover their talents and hone their skills. When are choose teachers we prioritize their passion for teaching and their love for working with students. That same path, we mold our students into teachers. Teaching humanity and standing firmly against injustice is our goal. Students are encouraged to work in groups by collaborating with fellow team members. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you into the VET College of Education family. It has been rendering invaluable service to teacher education. Education is drawing out the best in man – mind, soul, and spirit, it implies the development of the 3H’s – Head, Heart, and Hand. The main function of education is to guard the social heritage and educational values. For this, the teacher educators should carry out their ethical responsibilities. Therefore teacher educational courses should aim at training the body, mind, and spirit. We fully understand that change is the only constant.
Today, the role of a teacher is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and produce the members of an ever-changing global society. We have already stepped into the 21st century at VET College of Education, Panagudi. Students have no difficulty in reaching the college because of its location. The college has building and equipment facilities, a Computer room, a Psychology lab, Science labs, Language lab, Technology lab, Digital Library, and adequate Hostel facilities.
The mission is to provide quality education to the student teacher to improve their teaching skills and develop in them competencies necessary to play the multifaceted role of the teacher in the new millennium so that the future generation and pillars of the nation get efficient teachers to teach them. We aim at molding teachers with knowledge, skill, and character contributing to the development of the student community in consonance with our motto: THOU SHALL LEAD. I believe that along with professional knowledge and skill, the most important is professional attitude. Here is an institute that makes sincere efforts to inculcate that attitude among its students, in their crucial formative years during which their personality development takes a definite shape. Together, we aim to develop committed, and efficient teachers in our college by imparting quality teacher education.
