VET College of Education was established in 2008 by Dr. Victor Selvamuthu. VET College of Education is today one of the well-known colleges in Tamil Nadu. The college has an excellent reputation for its educational services, which always seek to develop the whole teacher. The VET College of Education, VET City, Panagudi, Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu, was established in 2008 by TamilNadu Teachers Education University, which was affiliated with it (No.TNTEU/R/Affln./2008/452 Dt 28.10.2008). The college has been granted recognition by the National Council for Teacher Education (F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed/2006-2007/18430 Dt. 28.02.2008). The college campus was set up in the tranquil and luxuriant green base of Vet City near the bye-pass road of Panagudi, just 1 kilometer from Panagudi bus stand.
This had been a dream to our founder-chairman, correspondent, and secretary and this hallucination had come true on 11th September 2008, when the new building was declared open by Mr. M.Appavu M.L.A (Radhapuram Constituency). There was a real need for a college in Panagudi, but nobody noticed it except the VET family. The college is run by Victor Educational Trust Panagudi, Tamilnadu, and administered by its Founder and Chairman, Mr. S.M.Victor Selvamuthu, who has been reading books that advocate public welfare since he was a child. It is this shove and drive that made him mold to a new generation of teaching professionals. Mrs. Stellma Victor, the correspondent, is a dedicated educator who has dedicated her life to educating teachers. She aims to turn her brainchild "VET College of Education" into a model educational institution to develop professionals endowed with practical knowledge and perseverance. The secretary Mr. V.Anto Donald Edgaar M.A.,M.B.A is the root cause for the framework by providing enormous ideas. He has played a vital role in imparting training to graduates to become able and talented teachers.
